Troubles in 2026
To Our Customers and Community,
We want to sincerely apologize to customers who have experienced delays, support issues, or frustration with recent orders from Kawaii Group Brands (Blippo, Kawaii Box, Japan Candy Store, Japan Candy Box, and Tok10).
At the beginning of 2026, Kawaii Group underwent a change in ownership and management. During this transition, the previous ownership left behind significant operational and technical challenges, including a partially damaged Shopify infrastructure that we have spent months rebuilding and correcting. At the same time, global shipping disruptions and changes related to US tariff policies have created additional delays and cost increases that have impacted our service.
None of this changes the fact that many customers had a frustrating experience for which we are truly sorry. Everyone on our current team are also online shoppers ourselves. We know how disappointing it feels when an order is delayed, communication is slow, or a company fails to meet expectations. When we fall short, we do genuinely feel that personally.
While ownership changed, the heart of the team behind Kawaii Group is still here. Our content creators (e.g. the faces of Blippo and KawaiiBox), along with our video editors, graphic designer, copywriters, photographer, sourcing and warehouse team, and customer support members, have continued working incredibly hard through a very difficult transition. New management is doing everything possible not only to improve service, but also to protect and support this team that has helped build these brands over many years.
The good news is that we finally feel like we have our heads above water. Operations are stabilizing, systems are improving, and we are optimistic about the future. We are excited to continue bringing amazing products, snacks, candy, and unique items from Japan to customers around the world, while also improving the speed, reliability, and quality of our service.
We know trust has to be earned back through actions and not words alone and we are committed to doing that. Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us, encourage us, and remain patient while we work through these challenges. It truly means more to us than you know!
